Overnight Oats with some Sweet Delights!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oats (quick or regular)
- ½ cup plain yogurt (preferably homemade!)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds
- ¼ cup of nuts (walnuts!)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Dash of cinnamon
- Dash of salt
- Fresh fruit if available and in season!
Instructions:
- Place all the ingredients into a jar. Mix around a bit to incorporate everything together.
- Place in the fridge overnight and take out the next morning to enjoy a meal filled with fiber! Best to eat following a workout to replenish with the honey and walnuts.
Notes/Customization:
- Play around with the fruit and nuts and pick your favorites. Choose between whatever is in season where you live. That could be raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, apples, or anything else you’d like to add!
- Choose between walnuts, peanuts, cashews or pecans!
- Substitute maple syrup if vegan or want a lit bit different flavor.
